Tools for a Usable Web

Archives Up

Our new content management system (CMS) is online and the archives are available. There are still some kinks to work out, notably in archive rendering, but lots of things to talk about, so we're going live.

The weblog publishing system is called Blozom and is based upon Mozilla. Under the hood, it uses a file based storage system that comingles XML and HTML content. Alas, xhtml wasn't quite up to the task.

Blozom will form the basis of a rapid prototyping tool within the Uzilla framework, enabling rapid prototype/test cycles. The new persistence layer also has led to a rework of the in development heuristic review and card sort tools to use local file based storage. An upcoming Uzilla Suite download will allow you to use these tools independent of a connection to Uzilla.net.|||
