Overview of the Usabilty Testing Suite

Uzilla is a software suite for web usability testing. It uses a client server architecture with a custom web browser, application server, and relational database backend.

Usability Test Design

Tests may use a hinting or abandonment protocol and may have surveys at project and task start and end points. Tests are configured in a rich, browser version 5.0+ web application.

Running Participants

The cross-platform client presents instructions, surveys, and a task control UI within the browser main window or the custom toolbar.

The custom browser presents task controls in a toolbar.

Understanding Results

Reports inform on task performance, survey results, and user behaviors with graphs, tables, Excel files, and visualizations.

Deployment Options

Uzilla is suited for both remote and lab-based usability testing. Screen sharing programs are still useful in remote deployment if you wish to interact by voice with the participant.

For the lab, Uzilla offers unprecedented data collection and aggregation functions. In remote testing, Uzilla offers a consistent browser interface for your test participants.

Licensing

A three test license is available for $1175. This allows up to 25 participants per test in 3 tests within a 1 year time span. An educational/non-profit discount is available.
